Welcome to the official website of INSPiRED—the home for everyone committed to the respiratory health of children worldwide.
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our growing global community of professionals dedicated to improving children’s respiratory health. INSPiRED was founded on the belief that the greatest advances in pediatric respiratory medicine come through international collaboration. By bringing together healthcare professionals, scientists, allied health professionals, and trainees from around the world, we aim to advance the field through education, research, innovation, and mentorship.
As the only independent international medical society dedicated exclusively to the full spectrum of pediatric respiratory diseases, we believe that every child deserves access to the highest standard of respiratory care, regardless of where they live. By fostering international partnerships, supporting multidisciplinary collaboration, promoting scientific excellence, and nurturing the next generation of leaders, we aim to improve children’s respiratory health and reduce global disparities in care.
INSPiRED provides a unique platform for learning, collaboration, and innovation through its annual congress, educational courses, webinars, working groups, research networks, and international initiatives. Whether you are an experienced clinician, researcher, allied health professional, or trainee, we invite you to become an active member of our community by sharing your expertise, participating in collaborative projects, presenting your work, or mentoring future pediatric respiratory specialists.
This website is your gateway to all INSPiRED activities. Here you will find information about our scientific programs, educational opportunities, research collaborations, grants, awards, special interest groups, and upcoming meetings.
The strength of INSPiRED lies in the commitment, enthusiasm, and diversity of its members. Together, we can shape the future of pediatric respiratory medicine and improve the lives of children across the globe.

INSPiRED – International Society of Pediatric Respiratory Diseases
INSPiRED was founded by a group of passionate pediatric pulmonologists representing different parts of the world who decided to combine forces and form a unique, independent medical society for pediatric respiratory diseases.
The motivation to form this global society originates from the recognition that pediatric respiratory diseases represent the major burden of childhood morbidity and mortality worldwide. Currently, no international medical society exists to exclusively target this massive challenge on a global basis. An international society representing health care providers focused on pediatric respiratory conditions fulfills a significant unmet need.
The core philosophy of INSPiRED revolves around ensuring access to quality pediatric respiratory care and fostering a culture of collaboration across borders, transcending geographical boundaries. The vision is to build a vibrant, inclusive, multi-disciplinary global platform for specialists from all healthcare sectors where they can exchange ideas, share knowledge and promote research in order to improve health outcomes and equity in care for children with respiratory diseases worldwide.
