Professor Mohammad Ashkan Moslehi is a globally recognized expert in pediatric interventional pulmonology. He currently serves as a Consultant in the Ahmadi Health Area, Kuwait Ministry of Health, State of Kuwait. Previously, he led the Division of Pediatric Interventional Pulmonology at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences.
Prof. Moslehi specializes in pediatric respiratory diseases, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, and chronic lung diseases, and is a leader in advanced bronchoscopic techniques, such as foreign body extraction, transbronchial lung cryobiopsy (TLCB), bronchial biopsy, and pleuroscopy. His innovations also include minimally invasive procedures for correcting supraglottic, laryngeal, and tracheobronchial stenosis, as well as mass resections using cryotherapy, argon plasma coagulation, electrocautery, balloon dilation, and stent implantation.
A prolific researcher, Prof. Moslehi has published extensively and is actively involved in several prestigious international organizations. He is the Chair of the Pediatrics Section and a Board Member of the World Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (WABIP), as well as the Chair of the WABIP Award Committee. He is also the co-founder and Vice President of the Asian Association of Pediatric Interventional Pulmonology (APIPA) and the co-founder of the International Association of Pediatric Airway Team (INPAT).
Additionally, Prof. Moslehi is a member of the Research Committee of the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care Societies (WFPICCS).
