The motivation to form this global society originates from the recognition that pediatric respiratory diseases represent the major burden of childhood morbidity and mortality worldwide. Currently, no international medical society exists to exclusively target this massive challenge on a global basis. An international society representing health care providers focused on paediatric respiratory conditions fulfills a significant unmet need.

The core philosophy of INSPiRED revolves around ensuring access to quality paediatric respiratory care and fostering a culture of collaboration across borders, transcending geographical boundaries. The vision is to build a vibrant, inclusive, multi-disciplinary global platform for specialists from all healthcare sectors where they can exchange ideas, share knowledge and promote research in order to improve health outcomes and equity in care for children with respiratory diseases worldwide.
