BIOGRAPHY

Mauricio Caballero, MD, MS is a pediatrician, Director and founder of the Centro Infant de Medicina Translacional (CIMeT) at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín, and a scientific researcher at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) in Argentina. 

He leads national research initiatives in translational studies on respiratory and infectious diseases, coordinating multicenter projects and mentoring interdisciplinary teams. With an extensive record of peer-reviewed publications and international conference presentations, his work bridges epidemiology, molecular biology, and public health. 

Dr. Caballero serves as a committee member of the International RSV Society, Board Member of RESVINET and is an active member of the International Society for Respiratory Viruses, and the Society for Pediatric Research. His current focus is advancing evidence-based strategies to reduce the burden of respiratory diseases in vulnerable pediatric populations.
