Dr. Patrick Stafler is a pediatric pulmonologist at Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel and Senior Clinical Lecturer in Pediatrics at Tel Aviv University. He currently serves as Director of the Bronchoscopy Service and previously led the Lung Function Laboratory and established Israel’s first Aerodigestive Center.
Trained in Germany and the United Kingdom, including at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital, he holds an MSc in Clinical Pediatrics from University College London. His academic work includes over 50 peer-reviewed publications and contributions as a reviewer for leading respiratory and pediatric journals.
Dr. Stafler has a strong focus on digital health and innovation. He previously served as Chief Medical Officer of the Schneider Innovation Center and is actively involved in translating emerging technologies into pediatric care. His current research, in collaboration with the Weizmann Institute of Science, centers on radar-based, non-contact monitoring of respiratory function in children. This work aims to redefine how physiological data are captured in clinical and home settings, enabling continuous, unobtrusive assessment and earlier detection of respiratory deterioration.
