BIOGRAPHY

Ralf Schubert, Ph.D., is Associate Professor with tenure at the Department of Pediatrics, University Hospital Frankfurt, Goethe University, and Head of the Pneumological/Immunological Laboratory. He earned his Ph.D. in Immunology from Technische Universität Darmstadt and completed his postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He has more than 25 years of experience in immunology, and his group focuses on cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying inflammatory lung diseases, including bronchial asthma. His research is particularly dedicated to rare diseases such as ataxia telangiectasia and bronchiolitis obliterans. He has authored more than 190 scientific publications in international journals and has been awarded numerous national and international grants. Current projects focus on the regulatory role of microRNAs in the resolution of inflammation in in vivo and in vitro models.
